Lawsuit is an module for XOOPS that allows for categories and pages to be create with associated forms. The forms are completely customisable and offer a method of display data in pertinence to any legal issue and collect data for an inquiry or application to a law firm, lawyer or solicitors service so they can ask unique question to do with the case.

You can have as many forms and pages as well as categories as the database supports. Each page can have a customised form associated with it where you can retrieve related information to do with the presentation of the case or issue you are seeking clients on for legal representation.

There are other application for this module which can be easily cloned or change to suit other forms of paginated liaise within your xoops site.

This is the beta release so please test and report any errors you are having.

Development Retirement

X-SOAP Development is being retired this is the last version of this software. Like most development of open source, sometime purposeful error, like the instanciation of the php-soap so it was instant plug and play. This has been fixed and is running.

X-SOAP is plug and play plugin system for a SOAP Service Server running on XOOPS 2.x.x. Development will be retired until any structural changes required for XOOPS 3.0.

The colors are very important to distinguish the blocks, otherwise they don't see each other

With this module you are capable of managing multiple domains for your website there are many core hacks with this module but it makes managing your site dynamically and easily for your environment.

It is modelled off the System module, so you can easily expand it and make structural changes. There is a forum for this module should you wish to look at the hacks to get it up and running Forum on Multisite Module

To implement this module requires some core hacks, this is more replacement of or ammendments to include the multisite modules class library using the xoops_getmodulehandler function. Most of the function calls even criterias are the same.

X-Re-aggregator 2.11 based on XoopsHeadlines includes a nice feature for Re-aggregating your RSS Feeds into your community from other sources, it includes a .htaccess SEO as well as an RSS Cache and RSS Snooping by Setting in your preferences.

This for example is useful with your X-Torrent Installation as you can add other X-Torrent RSS Feeds to it and allow your users to with the RSS Torrent acquire Aggregate torrents from many sources with the Feed Snooping your limited supply from other sources.

Or any other form of RDF or RSS Feeds, it will also parse into the core of the system for dynamic feed maitenance and collaboration methods with the multisite module.

How to avoid a protector IP ban the easy way.

Imagine you're dumb enough to make Protector ban from your own site.

These things happens.

Trick 1: Try to get a new IP. Switch off/on your cable modem/ADSL router, whatever you have, restart computer.

Trick 2: Use Google translate to translate the page to another language. If you want to read a text, just put your mouse over it and see the wonders of javascript in action. Log in into your own control panel, remove your own banned IP. Continue as usual.

jQuery and XOOPS

jQuery is XOOPS compatible if you follow these tips.

You can use jQuery library in your XOOPS theme, as usual, but if you just follow jQuery's official documentation, you won't be able to run it properly in all browsers.

There's an incompatibility between jQuery and XOOPS own javascript code, but it can be overriden.

XOOPS 2.3.2b Security Release

De XOOPS 2.3.2 security release bleek nog wat foutjes te bevatten en werd al snel opgevolgd door release 2.3.2a. Kort daarna verschenen op het xoops.org forum berichten dat ook die release nog problemen veroorzaakte. Vandaag is daarom XOOPS versie 2.3.2b uitgebracht, een security release die wat minder overhaast gemaakt is en hopelijk geen problemen meer kent.
De release bevat een aantal critical fixes Alle XOOPS 2.3.x gebruikers wordt dringend aangeraden om zo snel mogelijk naar deze versie te upgraden!

De kwetsbaarheden zijn alleen in de XOOPS 2.3.x branche gevonden. XOOPS versies 2.0 en 2.2 hebben dus geen upgrade nodig.
Wel wordt aan 2.0. en 2.2 gebruikers die de module protector gebruiken aangeraden om die naar de laatste versie te upgraden.

XOOPS 2.3.2 Security Release

Vandaag is xoops versie 2.3.2 uitgebracht. Een belangrijke beveiligingsupdate, die geen nieuwe features bevat maar wel een aantal potentieel gevaarlijke lekken dicht.

De release bevat meerdere updates, onder meer is een gevaarlijk lek in het auto login mechanisme gefikst. Deze gevaarlijke bug is ontdekt en aan het XOOPS Development Team gerapporteerd door onze xoops.nl whizzkid Dylian Melgert. Iets waar we als xoops.nl trots op zijn, zeker als je in aanmerking neemt dat Dylian als 14 jarige de jongste medewerker van xoops.nl is !

Alle XOOPS 2.3.x gebruikers worden dringend geadviseerd om hun sites zo snel mogelijk te upgraden!

does anybody know what happend to xoops.org's pagerank? It has been 8 for years now. Actually there is no information about the pagerank. Or is this only from my location.

ShoutBox v4.02 ShoutBox is an XOOPS module that provides an interactive block and pop-up window for visitors to post and view messages. CVD has picked up module development activities where previous developers left off. The major feature incorporated into this release is the addition of captcha as an anti-spam measure. The captcha class was copied from the XOOPS 2.3.0 core package and modified to meet the specific needs of ShoutBox module (including introduction of "Good Guest" mode). By copying the captcha class into the module we are hoping the module will function with XOOPS 2.0.x and XOOPS 2.2.x but it hasn't been tested with these versions yet. All development and testing has been performed with XOOPS 2.3.0 ONLY. We also added a guest avatar and re-designed the popup window using div tags and css so the dynamic resizing works with all browsers. The captcha "Good Guest" mode was an idea generated by XOOPS users placing feature requests. When captcha is enabled a guest is only required to enter the confirmation code correctly for their first message post. A session variable is then set indicating the guest is now a "good guest" and the captcha entry requirement is then waived for the guest for the remainder of the guest's session.

Shoutbox is an XOOPS module that provides an interactive block and pop-up window for visitors to post and view messages. For background info and previous developer credits refer to "readme_archive.txt". This release addresses most of the feature requests and bug reports we have received. Features in this release include the addition of selectable guest avatars in preferences. You can also replace the avatars supplied with your own gif's if desired. Word censoring support has been added which ties directly to Word Censor Options system preferences. Refresh issues have all been resolved. Full page refresh only occurs when an incorrect captcha confirmation code entry is detected OR when Frameworks captcha class is selected. An additional option now appears in the popup window console that allows the visitor to enable/disable the Sound On New Message feature. Several minor defects were cleaned up which were causing notices to appear in the debug mode. If you are running XOOPS 2.0.x or XOOPS 2.2.x you must install Frameworks 1.35 for captcha feature to work. If you are running XOOPS 2.3.x and you have Frameworks 1.35 installed then you have the option of using Frameworks captcha OR core captcha selectable through module Preferences.
